DENVER & RIO GRANDE WESTERN EASTBOUND HOLDS IN THE SIDING - BROWNS CANYON, NW OF SALIDA, COLORADO - JULY 2, 1982
An eastbound freight led by #5394 has pulled into the hole for the typical short wait for a westbound train. This was a well dispatched railroad and meets were usually well timed with minimum waiting time. Like other Grande lashups of this era, they may be all EMD but they still often provided an interesting mix of locomotive models. And as such, middle unit #3020 would like to remind us that while the tunnel motor gets all the attention, it is "Thirty Thursday" and her day of the week!
