I recently saw a very sexy alcohol product shot online, and thought, "How could I make this completely unsexy?" Well, I think I am on to something. The lighting is similar (though the wine bottle in the inspirational image was made of glass), and I think my version has a very similar feeling to it.....but not at all. There are three strobes working here. Our key light is a snooted speedlight, and it is just out of frame at camera-left, and it lights only the sticker. Next, there is a gridded strobe behind the bottle, and it has two layers of CTB to cool things down. Lastly, there is a third strobe directly above our product, and it defines the highlight on the cap, and along the upper edge of the bottle.
