Today's image came to me in a vision. We recently inherited several of these water-filled splat balls which one can purchase from a kiosk vendor at the mall. I knew I would eventually use one of them for a portrait, but when and how? I was setting up for an upcoming job, and thought the Plexiglass surface would make for a great splat. So, with eyeball in hand, I slammed it against the Plexiglass, and triggered the camera with my other hand. It took several exposures to get the eye to look at me as it splatted, but it worked in the end. It was also a timing issue, as one does not want the eyeball to fully recover before being shot. There is a strip bank at camera-left, and a bounce board at camera-right. Because there is no light source behind the eye, there are no reflections, and the eyeball seems to be suspended in space.
