El Vado Motel 2004

Route 66 Icon, Closed in 2005 when a real estate speculator bought the place to build condos. The city fought the action and the Motel has sat behind a fence ever since. It was probably the nicest Motel on 66 in Albuquerque, and one of the oldest.

I don't usually take detail photos of the rooms I stay in. Most motels arn't really worthy of it. The El Vado was really neat, nice and clean. A true classic and a real treasure!
