oscine_nyc: Haven't seen this one in person. Seen a lot of them, though. :) lovely.
mudsock: @oscinecity 'Landscape at Saint-Remy.' I am envious; this was my first van Gogh to see in-person. A wonderful background of info in regards to this particular piece.
oscine_nyc: I've manages to see exhibits in LA, NY, several in France, and at the Getty. My favorite was an extensive selection at the NY Met in May of 2001. I took my family for my college graduation. I saw the exhibit again by myself later. The portrait of his dr friend was stunning. Next to it was a drawing the dr made of vg on his death bed. It brought me to tears. Just a few months ago, 60 minutes did a fabulous 2-part piece on his death. Look it up. I think I've watched it at least 4 times, as I've shown it to my family and a few friends. It's a captivating story. I took JJ to the Getty earlier this year to see the iris painting. It was glorious.
