mudsock: @amymaier I'm almost embarrassed to admit the number of apps I used to edit this shot...4 different apps.
amymaier: Don't worry. I won't tell anyone haha! Seriously, it's a great pic and who cares how many apps.
mikki3: No way!! 4 apps? It's an EXCELLENT photo! Which ones did you use?
mudsock: @amymaier @mikki3 I used two different shots that I took using Hipstamatic (Helga Viking Lens & Ina's 1935 film; no flash). I edited each in Camera+ (respectively) using b&w but coming back off of the b&w to give it some dark color coming thru. I combined the pics using Photo Wizard but keeping the overlap a smidgen off-complete center to give a more unfocused feel and look to it. Took it to Tadaa to utilize their tilt-shift (I like Tadaa's tilt-shift better than even some of the more pro-editing apps tilt-shift). Then uploaded to IG utilizing Earlybird. :)

mudsock: @amymaier I know what you mean as far as overwhelming. A lot of mobile photogs like and use Snapseed a lot. I have it too but really prefer the feel of some of the other apps similar techniques and how they work for my tastes better. I don't have a particular style myself yet, and like you, still am experimenting. I do find myself liking simplicity more and more, and that's why I generally end up shooting and uploading directly from Hipstamatic more and more; trying to utilize the photos shot as-is.
amymaier: It's fun trying to figure out your point of view and style, huh?! I think it's interesting that you aren't sure what your style is, but I can definitely see it. It's just easier to see it in other people :)
