Mission San José y San Miguel de Aguayo in San Antonio, Texas

A B&W from inside Mission San José. It was founded in 1720. It is one of five of the San Antonio Missions National Park or The Mission Trail National Park in Texas. They are connected by the San Antonio River. The trail is about 15 miles long. Mission Concepcion is another of the five missions. It was completed in 1731 and is a U.S. National Historic Landmark as are the other missions located on the trail. Mission Alamo is also located on the trail. They are a UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The names of the five missions are Mission Concepcion, San Antonio de Valero ((Alamo), San Jose, San Francisco de la Espada, and San Juan Capistrano. About 2 1/2 miles separate each mission.
