Today our city honored my Dad as Veteran of the Year
And gave him a proclamation from the city and state declaring today "his day".
This award was given in honor of his service to the country and to the city.
To say my dad has dedicated his life to serving others is a gross understatement.
He has done more to help the lives of people (mostly children) than anyone I know or have heard of in my life.
He was a teacher for 36 years. Heck, he was even my teacher twice while growing up.
He has single-handedly raised millions over the years to aid in the betterment of children through scholarships and developed countless programs to promote education and leadership for kids.
