"I Told You...That is NOT My Egg!!"

As an escape from the gloomy November weather, I looked back to our last trip to Florida, and found this picture of a pair of Royal Terns. No, that's not her egg...that's a small red ball that was partially buried on the beach, where it was probably lost by someone earlier in the day ; -)) The black crest on this relatively large tern (about 18 inches long; appox. 46cm), does resemble a royal's crown.
