July 27 - Our hot temps are drying out all my Hydrangea...

July 31 - There is no dinner dilemma at the Johnson house. Most days we have a salad; perfect on hot summer evenings. The only variable is what the protein will be...tonight it's grilled steak.
August 1 - Practicing hummingbirds this morning until it was too hot to stand there any longer...
August 2 - I love using sentimental items in my images. Things that belonged to grandparents and that I don't use day to day find new life in my art...

August 9 - Blue Eggs on White. My daughter hand-carried a dozen eggs from her chickens in her carry on when she flew in to visit because she knew I've wanted to photograph blue eggs but couldn't find any locally. How sweet is that!

August 17 - A morning at Fernan Lake
August 19 - 10 days, 3,200+ miles (all of them smokey), and one last hotel bed. I'll be glad to trek the last 400 miles home tomorrow and lay my head on my own pillow.
August 20 - "Blue skies smiling at me"...Today was the first day since August 6th that we've seen smokeless blue skies!!
