Peony 'Bartzella' 23W24 Itoh G4- (Anderson, 1986) (3-DB-Y) Itoh Intersectional Peony, Mature plant size: 31in., YELLOW, 6-8 in. Lemon Yellow with red flares, USDA Hardiness Zone 3-8, Michigan Bloom Week ISO WW22, In Garden Bed G4 for 13.7 YEARS (Park). Planted in 2009.

 

Peony 'Bartzella' (Roger F. Anderson, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, 1986) is an intersectional or Itoh Intersectional. In this case a white lactiflora double crossed with a Reath hybrid tree peony. A good sized plant at almost 3 feet tall with double, fragrant, 6-8”, lemon yellow flowers with red flares and white-tipped carpels. Dark green foliage with large deeply cut leaves. Awarded the APS Gold Metal 2006. One of the most popular Itoh Intersectionals.
