Fast growing, upright conical selection of Sawara cypress with bright gold foliage that Leaf color is variable. Periodic shearing maintains tidiness. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 7x4 feet. Annual growth rate 8 inches or more.

 

This cultivar is a branch sport found in the early 1900s on a specimen of Ch. pisifera ‘Filifera Aurea’ at Koster Brothers Nursery, Boskoop, Netherlands. Later introduced by A. Mesman Nursery, also of Boskoop. Planted in 2017.
