Yellow-Footed Tortoise (Chelonoidis Denticulata)
Taken with sigma 50-500mm mounted on a tripod. Now I like this shot but this could have been a lot better, let me tell you how. While I like the exposure and the expression I was standing above the turtle when I took the picture. When dealing with wildlife I am of the opinion that eye level shots are king. I would have to say that 99% of animal shots look better when at eye level with the animal but that is not always possible. When I took this shot I was in a suit and I really did not want to pay the dry cleaning bill for a better photo, so I guess this will have to do. I hope you enjoy it.
