Sod Cottage
On our travels in NZ we saw a few sod cottages. The others were under the care of the National Trust and had been restored to their original condition. They were all built around 1860. This one was the first we saw that wasn't restored but almost complete. Somewhere on the road between Milton and Alexandra. This one also uses shist which is common in that area.

The techniques used include:-
* removing the fence and post using the "Spot Removal" tool in PS.
* replacing the hidden window using copy and paste
* adding a grunge texture
* adjusting the tone
