Boxing Day buses - Southend 2014

A special album showing the special Boxing Day services running in Southend-on-Sea on December 26, 2014.

The Ensignbus X10 service runs to Southend on just one day per year, Boxing Day, when no other services run along the London Road A13.
This affords a parallel to the c2c railway line (which also does not run on Boxing Day), as well as a link to Basildon and Lakeside (and between the two) as well as an all-stops service along the A13 replicating usual services, every 30mins, from Tarpots to Southend.

These were operated by:

Ensignbus (X10 Southend-A13-Lakeside) using Volvo B9TL/Olympus double-deckers.

Stephensons usual local services 6 and 61 using Alexander Dennis Enviro200 Dart 421

First Chelmsford usual AirCoach service X30.
