You can tell from the photo that this gentleman looked too interesting to not ask to make his portrait. I had seen him from the inside of the restaurant; I came back to ask to make his portrait. He saw me walking up, took off his headphones, shook my hand. I introduced myself through shaking hands, and asked if I could make his portrait. He asked why, and I said he just looked really cool.
Of course, he wanted to give me a hard time (which was well worth it and in good fun!). He wanted to know something that he didn't know about me, and I said I spoke two languages. He asked where I was from and I said Puerto Rico. Reggie then said sure, and put the headphones back on. I asked him if he could look into my camera, and he said I was pushing it now. But he did, and said I only had one shot. This was my one shot and it seemed like he liked it. I know I did, and I feel so good to be starting this project!
Thanks Reggie!
