Amy Svoboda
This week’s #ResidentofEIU is a Mathematics major working toward teacher licensure.
Meet Amy Svoboda, a Sophomore from Glen Carbon, Illinois. Amy (pictured right) is a Presidential Scholar and part of the Honors College here at Eastern. She stays involved on campus working in the Admission’s Office and tutoring students in math. Amy’s mom, sister, and two aunts all attended Eastern. Amy will be living in the same hall her mother (pictured left) did, McKinney Hall.
Per Amy “I love living on campus because of the relationships I have built here; at the beginning of freshman year, I struggled being far from my family for the first time in my life, but I was able to create a family-like support system with all the amazing people I met in my hall.”
