Port Huron & Detroit Railroad – Offices & Bay Window Caboose #42 @ Port Huron, MI - Aug-29-2016 - Kristopher Crawley

This is the south facing wall of the Port Huron & Detroit Railroads General Offices with Bay Window Caboose #42 @ Port Huron, MI. The offices were erected in 3 phases from 1922 to 1946, and were abandoned when the railroad was sold to CSX in 1985.

The PH&D Historical Society started cleaning up and rehabilitating the offices around 2008-2010. They have done a fabulous job so far. Including moving and painting one of the former cabooses, and they are now preparing for one of the former Alco switchers to return next to the caboose.
