It's not written in Braille but this little bisquick cookbook has plenty of "feel" to it. I've had this cookbook for over 13 years and it's covered in cooking oil spills, egg splatters, and dried mashed bananas. It's a page that "touches" my family through the goodness it brings. Tonight, while I was baking, Matthew came sniffing out from his man cave into the kitchen. "I thought I smelled something good," he said. "Want some?" "Of course," he replied. "Have you tried it with peanut butter?" "No, but if you'll make it for me I'll try it." How is it that being asked by my son to make him dessert or a sandwich or even a drink warms my heart? I know, it's nice to be needed by your kid even if he's just playing you to get out of making it himself.
What I'm reading. A recipe I pretty much know by heart but never feel safe enough to bake without. #photoadaymay #bananabread #baking
