It is a Romanesque church of the early transition, built between 1200 and 1208. In one of the blocks of the gable has an inscription with the date 1200, in years instead of eras.
The church has three naves of three sections each, cruise not marked in plant and triple head of semicircular apses preceded by presbyteries straight section. Most striking is the presence of pointed barrel vaults perpendicular to the normal axis of the temple, both the ends of the transept and the first two sections of the south aisle.

The style indicates a strong influence of Burgundy , in its original structure aisles with barrel vaults normal to the temple, implemented by the axis Cistercians . It is very similar to the church of Neris ( Allier ).

The three apses are covered with oven vault , and presbyteries with pointed barrel. This latter type are the other church domes. The cruise is occupied by a dome on octagonal lantern rest on 4 trumpet-shaped corners.Separation of ships is done by cruciform pillars with half adjacent columns, forming arches bent. The bases on which the columns rest are formed by high double burden plinth on which a flattened barbed bull. The capitals are very uniform and not very decorated; They have broad leaves at the corners, smooth and undecorated, leaving in their joint plant a pineapple or elongated. The picture rails are also very simple. The stone used is white sandstone ( Weald local).
