There isn't anyplace in the city or suburbs that its construction wouldn't have caused controversy. But at this location, at the western edge of Jackson Park, it's easily accessible by public transportation. The Metra Electric 63rd St. Station, the #63 bus, and the #6 South Shore Express and #15 Jeffrey Local buses. And it's not that far of a walk (or bike ride) from the Museum of Science and Industry.
