Peter Kuper's comics and illustrations have appeared world-wide including The New Yorker, The Nation, and MAD, where he has written and illustrated SPY vs. SPY every issue since 1997. He is the co-founder of World War 3 Illustrated a political graphics magazine that has given a forum to political artists since 1979. His graphic novel Insectopolis, a history of insects and the people who have studied them, will be published May 13th.

 

Seth Tobocman is a comic book artist whose work deals with political issues from a radical and independent point of view. He founded the magazine World War 3 Illustrated with Peter Kuper in 1979 and has been part of the editorial collective ever since. He is author of a number of graphic books including: YOU DON’T HAVE TO FUCK PEOPLE OVER TO SURVIVE, WAR IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD and THE FACE OF STRUGGLE His images have been used as posters, murals, banners and tattoos by peoples movements from Squatters in New York’s Lower East Side to the African National Congress in South Africa.

 

Larimar Lora is a Bronx based anti-imperialist cultural worker creating comics and playing music about Puerto Rican life and liberation. Their piece about land defense in Puerto Rico’s west coast, Defiende Lo Tuyo, is featured in issue #54 of World War 3 Illustrated.

 

Elettra Stamboulis is an Art Curator and Scenarist of Greek origins living in Italy. She curated many artists among them, Marjane Satrapi's, Joe Sacco's, Zograf's, Dave McKean, Zehra Dogan, Badiucao, Victoria Lomansko, and Khalid Albaih. She was one of the organizers of Komikazen international reality comics festival She has written text for many short stories, articles for magazines and books upon comics and reality, the last one is Zodiac, signed with Ai Weiwei and Gianluca Costantini published in US in 2024 and translated in many languages.

 

Gianluca Costantini is an Italian cartoonist, comic journalist, and activist known for his human rights-focused artwork. He has contributed to many publications and authored graphic novels like Libya with Francesca Mannocchi. He collaborates with organizations such as CPJ, ActionAid, and SOS Méditerranée. In 2019, Amnesty International awarded him the Art and Human Rights Prize. His latest works include Zodiac (with Ai Weiwei and Elettra Stamboulis, published by Penguin Random House) and Xi Jinping, The Emperor of Silence (Editions Delcourt).
