All glory to God
Like Daniel in today’s reading, God saved us from a lion’s den. Perhaps you didn’t see the lion with your eyes, but he was there and hungry! The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 5:8, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” God has saved us from our sin and snatched us out of the devil’s den. Like Daniel, our adversary no longer has power; God has shut his moth like those lions in today’s reading! …For He is the living God, And steadfast forever; His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, And His dominion shall endure to the end. He delivers and rescues, And He works signs and wonders In heaven and on earth, Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
