On 12 December our founder and CEO Captain Rajesh Unni was one of two keynote speakers on the core topic of shipping in the era of sustainability.
Organised by global consultancy McKinsey & Company at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center in Kallithea, Athens, and hosted by George D. Tsopelas, the McKinsey Chairman and Managing Partner in Greece and Cyprus, together with London-based Partner Matt Stone, the forum heard in detail from Captain Unni and also Bo Cerup-Simonsen, CEO of leading policy institute the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping.
Highlighting, as so often, the importance of data analytics, Captain Unni urged that at Synergy “We are confident and determined to lead shipping on the path of sustainability. The collection and analysis of shipboard data, combined with data from individual systems, can lead to tangible and actionable knowledge. We thereby create value for our customers and their customers, enabling them to create a carbon-neutral supply chain.”
