On 8 November 2022, we signed an MoU with the Embassy of the People's Republic of #China in Rwanda, to provide scholarships for brilliant students from vulnerable backgrounds, through our #EdifiedGeneration programme. This support is worth Rwf 41,490,000 million.
Beneficiaries of this programme receive assistance of up to $400 a year, to help pay for their living costs in boarding schools, school uniforms, and other items.
The sponsorship is part of the ‘Edified Generation,’ a scholarship programme initiated by Imbuto Foundation in 2002 to financially support bright students from economically vulnerable backgrounds in their pursuit of education. This programme currently supports up to 841 secondary students, in secondary schools across the country.
