NGC 7008, Nebulosa do Feto. Nebulosa planetária localizada a aproximadamente 2.800 anos-luz de distância na constelação de Cisne (Cygnus). Após expelir suas camadas externas de gás e poeira no espaço, o núcleo remanescente da estrela, agora uma anã branca, brilha intensamente no centro da nebulosa. Tem uma forma que se assemelha a um feto, daí o seu nome popular.

 

NGC 7008, the Fetus Nebula. A planetary nebula located approximately 2,800 light-years away in the constellation Cygnus. After expelling its outer layers of gas and dust into space, the star's remaining core, now a white dwarf, shines brightly at the nebula's center. It has a shape that resembles a fetus, hence its popular name.

 

* Exposures: 24 Ligth Frames of 180s, 16 darks. Used L-Ultimate filter. 1h12m minutes total exposure. Processing on Pixinsight. Bortle 1
