#grateful

My wife and I both cringe at the overuse of #blessed, but honestly, “blessed and grateful” is exactly how I feel in this moment—and I think it shows on my face.

My crossdressing journey has had its share of ebbs and flows since I first slipped into stockings and heels at 13. For most of my life, it was something I did alone and in private. But today, it’s something I almost exclusively share with friends—and out in the world.

On this afternoon, I’m enjoying a pre-dinner cocktail (or two!) with my friend Marnie. Just two women at the bar, catching up and sharing stories.

My friend Jill, who lives across the country, has also been venturing out more often. She recently described “the changing normal that comes with repetition.” That really resonated with me. After going out about once a month for the last three years, I’ve felt that shift—toward comfort, peace, and a quiet confidence that wasn’t there before.

Looking back, I don’t think I fully realized it at the time—but this is the life I once hoped for. A life with a loving, accepting wife, and deep, joyful friendships with other crossdressers and trans women who truly understand the journey. I’m so grateful to be here.
