Webinar on NEP 2020, Road Map for Vocational Education

Hailed as a transformative document, NEP 2020 has garnered many discussions, seminars and webinars in the last one month. Dr Nandita Mishra, Dean MITCON Institute of Management and Dr Goutam Saha, Professor of Marketing & Strategy, addressed participants mainly Principals and Faculty members of Polytechnic Colleges, during a webinar on 12 September 2020. The Webinar was jointly organized by all Polytechnic Institutes of Tripura and the Higher Education Department, Government of Tripura.

While the seminar addressed the need for NEP in Higher Education and Technical Education, the focus was mainly on Vocational Education, need of the hour. Skilling is no more a buzz word; it’s the order of the day. The webinar addressed how NEP rightly acknowledges the need of education, employment, industry, innovation and infrastructure to rightly meet the Sustainable Development Goals.
