But white people are so deeply committed to maintaining supremacy, so deeply invested in their comfort, so committed to their bubbles of privilege, so horribly terrified that they might be tainted by the reality of true equality and it’s obvious every single day. Every single day black and brown bodies, black and brown livelihoods, black and brown opportunities to live whole and full lives are disenfranchised, stunted, killed off and forgotten. All for the maintenance of whiteness. Stop being a custodian to the system.

Whether you are participating knowingly or unknowingly, intentional or not. Whether your eyes are open or closed.... the system still stands to oppressing people of color.

Until the entirety of white supremacy is dismantled you will continue to benefit from it as a person who lives inside a body with white skin.
