Sunset Limited at Sawyer
Due to UP's directional running scheme between Houston and Beaumont, the eastbound Sunset Limited has needed a reverse move to get out of Houston for the better part of 15 or so years now. This allows the train to access a routing via UP's Beaumont Sub, which is not accessible by pulling straight out of the Amtrak depot.
Here, after an on-time departure, Amtrak Train #2 shoves back at Sawyer St. The train will head forwards again at Chaney Jct in the distance, where the train will hop onto Main 1/Freight Main of UP's Houston Sub in order to head to the Beaumont Sub via Maury Street.
