Happy Diwali to our friends around the world! After watching some YouTube videos about The Festival Of Lights, India was asking if she could go to India to see the celebrations. We tried to find a local festival but they were all too far away or not open to the public. So, Daddy surprised India with her own festival in the back yard. He decorated the trees with fairy lights and bought some sparklers. Our family had such a wonderful evening, eating candy and dancing. Brubba gave India some beautiful bead necklaces, which she shared with us all, she even made her own version of Rangoli from her beads. Our kids loved learning about this Indian tradition. Growing up in London, I was lucky enough to enjoy some amazing Diwali celebrations, teaching our children to embrace other cultures is important to us, their lives will be richer for learning about the world and all it's beautiful people!
