National Food Bank Day - Teaching India To Pay It Forward
Today is National Food Bank Day! It's the perfect opportunity to teach our kids about paying it forward. We tell our children all the time, generosity and gratitude are the keys to happiness. We truly believe that being thankful for what they have, however little that may be and sharing it with others, will bring them joy. Our family do not have a big income, we live on a single wage, but even a small donation can help someone less fortunate than yourself. Without family, friends and our community, where would any of us be? It is difficult for India Rose to understand, at 3 years old, why some people do not have enough to eat. She barely understands the concept of money. However, she does understand sharing and is very good at it, She has a big heart and is always happy to help someone in need.
