East meets West

It strikes me that in many western Christian religions gaining knowledge (as interpreted from Eve’s eating of the apple) is wrong, sinful and punishable. On the other hand, in eastern philosophies knowledge and wisdom are prized – enlightenment being a good thing. Food for thought.
