Reposting @joshuakissi:⠀ "Portrait from Elmina Castle : Here is one the most memorable moments from my trip to Ghana : it was a trip to one of the first slave forts in West Africa built by the Portuguese. Not only did people from Ghana come through here but many others from neighboring countries such as Nigeria, Benin, Senegal, Cameroon. Many robbed of their humanity and sent to the Americas. Personally I couldn’t finish the tour because it was difficult to endure. This isn’t just Ghanaian or African History this is World and a tragedy that still connects to how we see the world today. Rest In Peace to the millions of lives lost. We’re all here to continue to live our ancestors wildest dreams."⠀ Want to support 💪 african photographers 📷 ? You can. CARING IS GOOD.
