I Look Around

-- Why is it I feel so defensive all the time, I have to I suppose beings that I've been drug through the mud so much. But it still drives me insane...always having to wonder if someone is truthful to me, genuine. I watch their face, their eyes, their words, at the slightest infraction my anxiety flares. My brain screams out to run away, it tells me that something is not right here. I try to calm it down but the screaming pops up, like an alarm on a Sunday morning...ripping through my head when theirs no need. Every single moment of the day, I feel like I have to stop, assess, as I look around and wonder; what if? --
