Quinn, Agnes
Agnes McClure was born in Thornhill in 1899 to Samuel McClure and Nancy Cameron, the youngest of their eight children by eleven years. She attended S.S. #15 Elder’s Mills and later became a teacher. She met Walter Quinn, just before World War I and married him in 1923, living together in Toronto. They had one son, William Alexander, in 1928. After Walter’s sudden death in 1963, she returned to work, taking a position at Canadian Facts, a survey research organization. She passed away in 1994 at 96 years old.
