So many issues, so little media coverage...it is time to end the privatization of prisons and the practice of prison slave labor...

***Our daily look back at this time, last year***

 

On this FRIDAY THE 13TH

 

We think on the 13TH AMENDMENT to the Constitution which outlawed slavery in this country...

 

When loss of healthcare is in the forefront and an inauguration is on the near horizon so many topics of concern get placed aside...

 

We have well over two million PEOPLE in prison in this country, many of which are used by corporations as manufacturing labor.

 

These PEOPLE get paid pennies per hour.

 

As long as corporations can use PEOPLE who are incarcerated as a nearly free labor force, the incarceration rate will rise.
