Pointers on Architectural Photography
One of your first decisions is deciding what aspect of the building/structure you want to emphasize and how much of the building/structure you want to capture. Your decision may be driven by the physical space surrounding the building and how far from it you can get and still be able to capture the desired image.
In this image, I elected to emphasize the height of the building so I selected a vantage point opposite one corner of the building where I could capture the entire height with part of the front facade and part of one side. I sacrificed capturing the depth of the building in order to get the height. Notice how the front facade appears to be titled back - that effect caused by severely tilting my camera will be discussed on the next image.
