👑 Ministry is Simply Loving People Through Jesus - 📖 "If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing." (‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭3‬ NLT) - 💡 What is ministry? The word "ministry" originates from the Latin word "ministerium" which means office or service. It is no wonder then why we associate working in a church with ministry. However, there is one person whose "ministry" looked a little different. - 💡 Jesus never worked in a church. He loved people who followed the laws and He loved people who sinned. He loved the educated and He loved the crazy. He loved the faithful and He loved the faithless. For Him, ministry was stopping for people, taking time with them, delivering, teaching and feeding those around Him. He was able to do it all because of His Father's heart beating inside Him. - 💡 For some, that looks like work. To sit for hours, days, teaching thousands. To pass out bread and fish to hungry people. Praying for someone to be delivered from demons, diseases, or death. And if it was not out of love, that's right, it would be work. But the moment our fuel is God's heart, our strength is Joy in the Lord, and our goal is to serve - ministry work becomes a lifestyle of love. - 💡 Princesses, take a moment to evaluate your heart. Ask yourself: Why are you doing the things you do? Are you excited and energetic about it or does it feel like a chore? I encourage you to daily ask God for more of His love in your life. We aren't perfect on our own, but we are made perfect IN Christ.
