(Luke 6:27-28) - 💡 For girls, it's easy to see details in the things around us. We notice when someone is wearing an “interesting” outfit or someone's negative look when we say something. Bottomline, we see the little things that guys normally miss. This can be a great gift which lead to many positive things but it can also lead us down a path of finding faults and judging others quickly. - 💡 We can tell you what is wrong with your outfit, your attitude, or your friends in the first 5 minutes of meeting up. We can also take quick offense if we think someone is being rude or mean towards us. When offended, we can either choose to behave as either a victim or a princess. As a victim, we begin to rattle off why we did not deserve that kind of treatment and begin saying negative things about the offender. As a princess, we chose to have compassion and pray and ask God to help their life and situations. It is not easy to “turn the other cheek” but it is a great habit to form and what God wants us to do. - 💡 I want to challenge you when tempted to gossip about, criticize, or say/think negative things about someone to stop and ask God to help them instead, even if that person was mean or rude to you. Praying brings compassion because it helps us to look at them as a person - who may be going through some major issues in their life. And when I try to do more and be more for Him, I get exhausted. Then I get to a place where I fall on my knees, defeated from doing things from my own strength, and I look up. There before me is Jesus, with His eyes full of love, full of grace. He looks at me and says, "Daughter, YOU are fully enough." - 💡 Dear girls, it is surrender God is after, not perfection. Jesus died for us, willingly gave up His life so we could live in freedom from sin. Is it such a high price for us to also give our lives to Him? For Him, ministry was stopping for people, taking time with them, delivering, teaching and feeding those around Him. He was able to do it all because of His Father's heart beating inside Him. - 💡 For some, that looks like work. To sit for hours, days, teaching thousands. To pass out bread and fish to hungry people. Praying for someone to be delivered from demons, diseases, or death. And if it was not out of love, that's right, it would be work. I saw this and I loved it! Only, it was really short because it only had the first 6 Princess quotes. I wrote everything from Rapunzel to Pocahontas. The last lines came from 2 different versions of this same quote, I just rearranged the words to sound pretty :)
