I know this is not a motivational quote or inspiration but it's a subject that is very dear to my heart. My 5 year old daughter was bullied in her school, when a boy started to call her ugly. When she stood up to him he then decided to recruit 4 other kids in her class to say same things to her. I experienced how it changed her. How do you explain to a 5 year old not to listen to these people and to ignore them. I know teenagers that get called ugly and it affects them for life. Imagine a 5 year old. Her school did nothing and claimed that what the boy was doing is not bullying because he does not understand the consequences of his actions. All I said was bullshit. No bully knows the consequences of their actions and that's a cop out sad excuse. So at end of November we pulled her out of the catholic school. This week we she started attending a private school that she attended in the summer and loved. My daughter is back to loving going to school and not crying after time she had to go. I blame myself for not noticing her change in behaviour earlier and putting 2 and 2 togather. I know your thinking I should not, but I should have seen it. I noticed her always questioning her looks and when she is being told no, she claims that I don't love her cause she is ugly, and I was like say what. And the many times she came home from school miserable. I thank god that is behind us and now I have her in a school that understand that senior kindergarten is not just arts and crafts and is about teaching her what I have been trying to at home. But that is a whole different subject lol. Let stand up to bullying. Name calling is not right at any age. Putting some one down is my right at any age. Talking about people behind their back is not right at any age.
