Photo #1
Objective 3: Composition Techniques – Use the guide on the website
1.Rule of Thirds: Trees are in rule of thirds; not in the middle, just off to the side and beneath
2.Perspective and depth: perspective in the clouds and trees
3.Fill the Frame:
4.Backgrounds: clouds and sky
5.Leading Lines:
6.Pattern: clouds formation
7.Texture:
8.Framing:
9.Color: Both hot and cool
10.Diagonals: Clouds are moving diagonally in the sky
11.Space and/or Space to Move:
12. Balance:
Objective 4: Lighting (side, back, soft, hard, fill)
Types of lighting and how they contribute to the image:
Back lighting- makes a silhouette (makes the trees black and the sky is still in color)
Objective 5: Post Production (resize, contrast, sharpening, and others you have done)
Corrections/adjustments made:
I edited the photo by bringing up the light and darkening the trees to make the sky brighter
Objective 6: Critique
Analyze your photograph for strengths and areas for improvement (consider composition, lighting, exposure, overall feel, etc.)
Strength: The way I positioned the camera to not capture any of the buildings or anything that would take your eye away from the sky
Area for growth: Where is a white blur (bottom right), I could capture the photo with any blurriness and focus on the sky and trees
