Thanks to everyone for joining in our "Shoot Through" themed forum yesterday. We had over 10,000 submissions to yesterday's #jj_forum_0858 tagged gallery. I'll be back in a hour or so with a top five and new theme.

Think of these "New Shot Nod" posts as a special reward. A daily feature, set aside for those who push themselves to get out and shoot.

The "New Shot Nod" is our way of reminding you that the daily theme can be an assignment, pushing you a little to try something new.

The goal is to try set aside one or more features a day for people that have taken the time to use the theme as a creative assignment.

joshjohnson: @jaabaniblknwht sounds good. I have to be careful because if I publicize a general and static tag like that too much it will get flooded with irrelevant shots pretty quick. I kind of like the idea of an "insiders tip" type of tag. It wouldn't be a requirement but I could check it out from time to time. The folks who are interested enough to pay attention will find it and share it with their friends organically maybe we'll see. #jj_newshotnod it is. :-)
