Just scrumptious or just wonderful or just apricot is understandable— but Just Joey? Nevertheless, the big brandy-colored buds, the large ruffled apricot flowers steeped with fruity fragrance, and the huge glossy green leaves have intoxicated many a rose lover. An immigrant from England, the bushy vigorous plant takes well to our shores.

Just Joey rose might have been too tightly closed for this little girl to get to the pollen
3 out of 5 mouthfuls of food can be linked to pollinators.

My favorite dog.. but don't tell him. I used the 10-20mm on JJ here and then added 10 textures to blend the background and to make JJ match.

Many online call me AC, short for Anvilcloud. Toward the end of the season JJ got an A on his sweater -- as in Alternate Captain, or AC for short. AC: I like that.
This was my first chance to get a photo of him with the A, and maybe my last chance too as I took this at the end of his final playoff game. He has one more out-of-town tournament next weekend, and I guess that's it until next year.

Following Danica; here is a Back to School portrait of Jonathan. Next year, like Danica, he will be forced into a school uniform.

NHL training camps are starting up and so is local hockey. This was JJ's first game 3 years ago. I've always liked this photo but never got around to posting it, but the beginning of another season seems to me like the right time. I like the triangular shape with JJ at the apex, a white sweater against the reds.

JJ (short for Jack Jack). He is my 4 year old blue merle Australian Shepherd. He loves absolutely nothing more than to run and catch one of his many tennis balls. Actually, he is obsessed with them.
It was the end of a long play day and here he just brought me his tennis ball hoping I would give it one more toss before we called it quits for the day. OK, I'm a sucker for a sweet face...he got a couple more tosses...
Sadly this cutie isn't our dog, but if you want a dog you have to have a home check, so we have signed ourselves up with a Romanian dog rescue service and Lisa brought her Romanian dog Enya round while she did her checking up and asked us some questions! Enya is a bit smaller than we want, but she had such a sweet personality and came to each of us for some attention! Getting another dog is crazy with the cost of living going up, etc, but life is rather empty without a dog now and it stops me being a couch potato! I do hope it's not too long until we have one of our own to love again!
