What if our #JJ community motto, "Create to Connect", actually can help change the world?.

Sometimes it's hard to dream big. Ever wonder though, what if we've stumbled on something important?.
.
When I get home from vacation, I'll be punching the clock at 10pm tonight at a very humble job. IG fame is fun but, if you met the analog Josh, I promise you wouldn't be very star struck. :-) I wonder often, "Who I am to think about changing the world?" What gives me the nerve?.
.
To be honest, I guess it's your fault. :-). Time and again you guys tell me that Instagram and our #JJ community has really changed your life for the good, brought you authentic friends and more joy from living creatively. Your feedback has me hooked. I love the feeling of being a part of something important. Something good that I can be proud of.

It's been almost 4 years since I pulled over on the side of the road and tapped out my first "Instatip" to my 300 followers. I had no idea at the time but I believe, at that moment, I was a part of the beginnings of a movement. I was caught up on the leading edge of a swell of democratized creativity that is now sweeping the globe.
.
More images have been created and shared in the last few years than in all of history combined. Many millions of images have been submitted to our #JJ events and every one of them tells a story. A piece of who we are. And here's the magic. When we pull those pieces together something amazing happens. When we see humanity as a whole, we start to realize that we don't have to feel afraid. We understand don't have to feel alone. We don't have to be afraid. We can make it through the tough times and better yet, we can thrive. We can finally find the beauty in life that so often escapes us.

littleyellowflower: I love these ideas/ thoughts ... And @joehaggard made an amazing point... Perhaps it feels safer somehow to give the kind of support and encouragement that we give each other here - but if we made an intentional effort (and risk!:) ) to give the same "to the people around us everyday" as joe said - yeah, we would change the world. And of course joe is echoing the greatest man who ever walked the earth...

Keep this up, keep sending out positive reinforcement and encouragement. You definitely touch a heart string in so many of us. I love how you make us all stop in place, look around and really see what matters in this world, and how we can all do positive things to make life better for each other. Just wanted to say thank you though because as you said, this community also changed my life. The friends I ended up meeting face to face, the improvement to my photos, so many ways I can't ever really describe

But I always make sure that I check in... As soon as I wake up I check my texts email, then your feed and my personal following on hectic mornings I might be late but I get here... So my life is definitely changed as well... I honestly love your #jj_reboot series as well.. There is something that has helped me change! As for the bigger ideas... I'm just waking up.
