January birthday confetti
I saw this happy and confetti-filled card altenewblog.com/2017/12/30/celebrate-3-2/ on the Altenew blog last month and knew it would be a perfect masculine birthday card. I used the back of #PapertreyInk Dot Spot to create my circles. I left a little spot open so that the die-cut word, from PTI's Bookprint Alphabet, could more easily be seen. I inked up those circles in three teal shades: The Ton's Blue Diamond, PTI's Hawaiian Shores, and The Ton's Hot Tourmaline. I was hoping the little dots, which I wanted to look like confetti, would be clearer in silver embossing powder, but they don't give as much shine as I had hoped. It's made on PTI's stamper's select, and layered on Soft Stone.
This went out to my FIL who celebrated his 78th birthday this month. I'm super-pleased and I know I will try this design again!
