All week I have been thinking of Sneak Peek #1. heroarts.com/blogs/club/2009/08/03/sneak-peek-week/

I am dying to get my hands on the new cling stamps and loved Lisa's card with Cherries. So I tried to get the same clean look with bright colors that I just loved on the peek. I used

the Hero Arts "Dot Flourish Border" . After coloring with my Copic markers I added lots of my own dots as well ( black dots and white dots too)...then I distressed the edges. It's easier to see what I mean with the added dots if you look at my close up pic. The cherry body is from Papertreyink and I cut the stems and leaves free hand. I used Ranger's Faded Denium to distress the cherries. Just got home and now I have to go to a funeral. :( See you tomorrow...I can't wait! Thanks for your patience with me...Hugs,Kathy

Ok finally I am finished with this. First the umbrella bent when I used Glossy Accents which was perfect cause it makes the umbrella really realistic. I stamped HA flowers on the umbrella and colored, cut fringes then applies the GA. I used a hole punch for the flowers and stamped the letter "C" for the smile. Stamped HA background clouds twice (one on water color paper) & cut 2 clouds out ,,,distressed. The other coulds I printed "April showers bring May flowers" on card stock then cut clouds out, distressed again. I used the sewing machine to make holes for my rain then used my piercer to get rounder holes. For the grass just used Copic marker. That's it ...thanks for looking!! :) OH.....I used stick pins for the dolls hair...hope you can see that so much easier than cutting around her hair piece. Cut with wire cutters.

I created this card for the Hero Arts challenge & the Poppy Seed challenge #2.

I've been working on these party invitations for my daughter's birthday party next weekend. She's turning 6 and wanted a butterfly party! I used Papertrey Ink's glassine envelopes, dressed up the outside with vintage book paper and October Afternoon paper and a Martha Stewart butterfly punch, Papertrey Ink buttons and the Blooming Button Bits stamp set (stems and saying). I put the party details inside the envelope. :)

My favorite Quickutzs die is the Scallops. It is also the only one I currently own...sigh. I used 3 die cut scallops to form the border strip. I also recently picked up some Rangers Crackle paints and wanted to play with them. I painted a piece of cs with the paint and set it aside to dry. What fun! What a fabulous result. After it was dry I stamped the Heartwinged Butterfly on it and cut it out. The background pp is stamped with HA Artistic windows text. Everything is distressed with my fav chalk ink. I really could not be happier with the results! ENJOY! Linda aka Oz
