2017 Rosh Hashanah card
This year's card for Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. I've been thinking about the design for this card since last year. I wanted a visual representation of the very last blast of the Shofar on Yom Kippur, when we are sealed in the Book of Life. This is what I saw in my mind last year at the synagogue service. I ended up with two of my favorite #PapertreyInk sets.
I was having a hard time figuring out the colors for this card and turned to Pinterest, where I found this gorgeous inspiration: www.pinterest.com/pin/437201076316831105/
Here, PTI's Watercolor Wonder is inked in PTI Green Parakeet, MFT Blu Raspberry, PTI Spring Rain, Winter Wisteria, Lilac Grace, SSS Hollyhock, PTI Lovely Lady, and Altenew Peach Perfect. The shofar and sentiment are from the PTI classic Mazel Tov set, inked in Versafine Onyx. It's all on PTI Stamper's Select White; and the panel is on a slice of foam panel.
I ended up making 67 of these this year. Thank goodness for the MISTI! Now I have to figure out how to top this for next year. Thanks for looking!
