God's Parallel Lines in the Sky

The herald of flaming sunrise at Dysart! The bumps on the horizon are from left to right, The Bass Rock (a Phonolitic extrusion) which is a world-class bird sanctuary, Craigleith Island and the extinct volcano, Berwick Law. The east coast of Scotland has the remnants of many three hundred million year old Carboniferous age volcanos (basalt lavas) which tend to be called Laws, e.g Largo Law, Berwick Law, Traprain Law and the Law Hill in Dundee. However, the local volcanic neck in nearby Burntisland is called The Binn Hill for some reason? No poetry in their souls those Burntislanders! To me Burntisland Law would have had a nicer ring to it!
