Letzte Woche wurde mit ein paar befreundeten Fotografen bei bestem Wetter etwas Urlaub im Allgäu gemacht. Eines meiner Lieblingsbilder entstand gestern am Tag der Abreise. Am Morgen nahmen wir noch den nur Wochenends verkehrenden RE 3893 (Oberstdorf > München Hbf) an der ehemaligen Brücke bei Ruderatshofen mit. Für die Traktion des Zuges waren am Wochenende die schönen Kemptner 218 411 und 446 zuständig. Typisch fürs Allgäu sind dort nicht nur die schönen grünen Wiesen und die 218er sondern auch die zahlreichen noch vorhandenen Fernsprechbuden im top Zustand.

218 411 war am 28.12.2024 auf RE2 Linie zwischen Regensburg und Hof im Einsatz. Mangels Bedarf in ihrer Heimat Kempten sind aktuell einige 218 von dort zu Gast in der Oberpfalz. Die schön glänzende Lok wurde mit RE 4858 in der tiefstehenden Wintersonne bei Naabdemenreuth von etlichen Fotografen abgelichtet.
